Related LinksInterLiga will return to Home Depot Center for the finals of the 2010 edition, tournament organizers announced Tuesday.Home Depot Center - which has been the venue for each of the first six years of the tournament - will host the final, to be played on Jan. 12, 2010.Unlike the last previous years, however, the final will not be on a Sunday. Jan. 12 falls on a Tuesday.Also tabbed as sites for the tournament are Robertson Stadium in Houston and Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas.InterLiga will determine the two Mexican teams' berths into Copa Libertadores. Eight Mexican teams are split into two groups, and the group winners play the group runners-up in the final with two spots in Copa Libertadores at stake.Because the Mexican Football Federation briefly pulled out of all South American tournaments earlier this year due to H1N1 flu fears from South America, Chivas and San Luis are not eligible to participate in InterLiga. Both teams had reached the second round of the 2009 edition but were unable to play their series.When the FMF and CONMEBOL agreed that Mexico would rejoin Copa Libertadores, both Chivas and San Luis were given automatic berths in the knockout rounds of Copa Libertadores.Also not eligible to participate in the tournament are Toluca, Pachuca, Cruz Azul and Pumas since the quartet is involved in the CONCACAF Champions League. SE ANUNCIA CAMBIO DE CALENDARIO EN INTERLIGA 2010
Equipos del Grupo B verán cambios de partidos en Dallas, Los Angeles


NUEVA YORK (Jueves, 10 de diciembre, 2009) – La Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (FMF), junto con Soccer United Marketing, anunciaron hoy un cambio de calendarización para los equipos del Grupo B en su participación en la InterLiga 2010 en las sedes de Dallas (3 de enero) y Los Angeles (10 de enero). El cambio fue a petición de los clubes participantes.

El domingo, 3 de enero en el Pizza Hut Park de Dallas, el nuevo calendario es: Puebla vs. Tigres a las 3 p.m. (hora Este), seguido por Monterrey vs. Jaguares a las 5:30 p.m. (hora Este). Los otros partidos que vieron cambio fueron los del domingo, 10 de enero en el Home Depot Center en Los Angeles. El primer partido será Tigres vs. Jaguares 6 p.m. (hora Este), seguido por Monterrey vs. Puebla a las 8:30 p.m. ( hora Este).

Los boletos están a la venta por www.Ticketmaster.com, llamar a 1-800-745-3000 y otros puntos de venta regulares para comprar su boleto. Boletos también van estar disponibles por medio de los equipos locales de la MLS: FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, Chivas USA y Los Angeles Galaxy. La Federación Mexicana de Fútbol anima a sus seguidores a utilizar sus tarjetas Visa.

InterLiga 2010 determinará los dos equipos Mexicanos que clasificarán para la Copa Libertadores como “Mexico 2” y “Mexico 3”. El club que resulte superlíder del Torneo de Apertura 2009, asistirá de manera directa a la Copa Libertadores 2010 como “México 1”. Los ocho primeros lugares de la tabla general de clasificación del Torneo de Apertura 2009, descontando al primer lugar de la tabla antes mencionada, participarán en la InterLiga. Asimismo, se descuentan a los clubes Toluca, Pachuca, Cruz Azul y UNAM Pumas, quienes representan a México en la Liga de Campeones CONCACAF 2009-2010, sin importar su resultado en Apertura 2009. Debido a lo sucedido durante la Copa Libertadores 2009, Chivas y San Luis califican directo a la versión 2010 en los octavos de final.
